This four - day, 32 hour course provides students with the solid foundation and skills needed to work as a member of a rapid intervention team on the fireground. Students will focus on maneuvers of RIT to ensure they are comfortable with performing them. Students will have the opportunity to conduct the skills learned under smoke and fire conditions by the end of the four days. This course is not intended to be four days of strenuous smoke and fire training. The course is delivered with continuous updated hands - on techniques and maneuvers, as well as live fireground scenarios in three progressive areas: Firefighter Survival, Firefighter Rescue and Rapid Intervention Operations. R.I.C.O meets and exceeds all guidelines in NFPA 1407!
