Surface Water Operations
Full Description
This 40 - hour four - day course is the first in the OSFM Water Rescue certification series. Water Rescue Operations introduces the firefighter to the hazards and safety procedures needed to perform water rescues safely and efficiently. This course emphasizes all training, PPE, and operational standards from NFPA 1670. Students will cover classroom and practical evolutions on safety, hazard recognition, PPE, incident command and accountability, shore operations, rigging, and much more. This course is excellent for fire departments or law enforcement agencies that currently have a water rescue team, or are looking to start one.
