This state certified 40 - hour course will provide the student with advanced skills needed to perform within a rescue company. Along with brief classroom instruc-tion, students will perform hands - on training in skills such as fixed and floating brake rappels, line - transfers, pick - offs, and patient movement in litter systems. The students will construct and operate mechanical advantage systems, rappel and lowering systems, belay and safety systems, and anchor systems using accepted rope rescue practices. Students will receive plenty of "line time" performing rappels from high angles. This currently is the highest rope certification available through the OSFM.
