Aquatic Center Birthday Parties Frequently Asked Questions

How early can we arrive to set up for our birthday party?

Aquatic Center birthday parties can begin arriving and checking in at our front desk 15 minutes before their scheduled party time. To ensure the party room is set up and cleaned properly in between parties, rooms are only guaranteed to be available at the reservation's start time.

What kind of decorations can we bring for our party?

Aquatic Center birthday parties are welcome to bring decorations of their choosing including balloons, tablecloths, table decorations, and themed plates/dishes if desired.  

To keep our facility looking new and clean we do ask that decorations not be taped or otherwise adhered to the surfaces in the room such as walls or cabinets.  

Confetti and glitter products are also not permitted.

Can I drop off supplies for my party before my party starts?

Due to limited storage space and the potential for your designated party room to be used before your reservation, we cannot accommodate supplies for your party to be stored at the facility prior to your check-in time.

Can I put a date on hold for my desired party date?

At this time we do not allow for date/time holds for birthday parties at the Romeoville Aquatic Center. The party must be booked and paid for in order to reserve the date/time.

Do you offer payment plans for birthday parties?

The full amount of the birthday party package is due at the time of booking.

Can we bring additional food to the party besides the pizzas/drinks included in the package?

Yes! We order our pizzas through Michael’s Pizza in Romeoville and pitchers of lemonade are provided with the party package. If you would like to place an additional order through the restaurant you are welcome to do so and they will deliver it alongside the included pizzas. Parties are also welcome to bring a cake/cupcakes or other commercially prepared items for their guests.  

Alcohol of any kind is strictly prohibited.

Is the pool still open to the public during my birthday party?

All of our birthday party time slots are during our regular open swim hours. If you are interested in hosting a private event at the Romeoville Aquatic Center, please reach out to us for additional information.

What types of pool toys/life jackets are allowed?

All life jackets worn at the facility must be U.S. Coastguard approved. The Romeoville Aquatic Center has complimentary life jackets in a variety of sizes that are available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Can we make changes to our reservations if we end up with more guests than anticipated?

Single Room Parties: If you booked a single room with 12 guests and your guest count will not exceed the room capacity (20 people) then you can pay for each guest over your included package number. If your guest count is going to exceed the room capacity of 20 we will happily assist you in upgrading to a double room birthday party package as long as the other party room is still available.

Double Room Parties: If you booked a double room party with 30 guests and your guest count will not exceed the room capacity (40) then you can pay for each guest over your included package number.

If your number of guests is going to exceed the room capacity you booked and there is no additional party room space, additional guests can swim at the facility at our regular daily admission rates but will not be admitted into the party room to comply with our room capacities.

Is the birthday party only two hours long?

When you book a birthday party at the Aquatic Center your room reservation is for two hours, but the fun doesn’t have to stop then! Birthday party guests are welcome to stay at the facility and swim for the remainder of our regular open swim time.

Who is included in our guest count?

Anyone who is going to be in the party room counts towards your included guest number, regardless  of whether they choose to swim. This is to ensure we comply with our room capacities for everyone’s  safety.

If you have parents of young party guests who would like to stay at the facility there are a few options  for them. They are of course welcome to enter the facility at our regular daily admission rates but they  can also view/supervise their child in our vending room area or lobby.
