OPPORTUNITY MATTERS
Being young can be challenging. You are dealing with school, sports, clubs, and maybe a job too. Maybe your friends, family, or classmates are causing drama that pulls you in. Opportunity Matters aims to teach you skills that will make you a stronger person and more prepared to deal with your current challenges and with what comes next in life. Through a series of interactive discussions with adults in the community, Opportunity Matters has covered topics like courage, confidence, and integrity. We’ve gone over important life lessons like financial accountability and self-improvement. We’ve hosted a panel of student athletes who shared what their athletic experience has been like at the college level and had a business owner come in to talk about what starting a business is really like and what kind of challenges were faced and overcome.
