Group Outings
General Information & Booking Procedures
- A group must have 10 or more paid attendees (chaperones not included) to receive Group Outing rates and must have a ratio of at least 1 chaperone per 10 attendees.
- Individuals and groups that are not affiliated with a camp, park district, school, or other approved organization are not eligible for Group Outing rates.
- Admission to the Romeoville Aquatic Center is $7 per person. One chaperone for every 10 attendees will be admitted for free. Additional chaperones is $7 per person.
- All groups must provide a certificate of insurance (COI) with a minimum of $1 million in commercial general liability coverage in the aggregate and per occurrence. The Village of Romeoville must be a certificate holder and named as an additional insured by written endorsement. The COI will be required a minimum of 7 days before the event.
- All groups must provide a final head count 3 business days before the reserved date if the number of attendees is different than the submitted Group Outing Request Form.

Important Group Outing Policies
- Group chaperones are responsible for supervising their campers/group members. Lifeguards on duty to enforce rules and respond in case of emergencies.
- Only U.S. Coast Guard-approved life jackets may be used in the facility. The Aquatic Center has a limited number of life jackets that can be made available.
- Guests must be 48 inches tall to ride the water slide. Non-swimmers are not permitted to ride the waterslide.
- All attendees will be swim tested by the Romeoville Aquatic Center staff.
- Green wristbands will be issued to swimmers who successfully pass the swim test and meet the water slide height requirement.
- Yellow wristbands will be issued to swimmers who successfully pass the swim test but do not meet the water slide height requirement.
- Red wristbands will be issued to non-swimmers who do not pass the swim test or choose not to take the swim test. Red wristbands will be required to wear a life jacket for the duration of their visit to the facility.
- Guests must wear commercially sold swimsuits to enter the water.
- All apparel and footwear brought into the facility and worn on deck must be clean.
- Children 2 and under or regularly diapered must wear tight-fitting rubber or plastic swim pants.
- There is no diving allowed anywhere in the facility.
- The facility does not have a concessions stand but does have vending machines available to purchase snacks. No outside food or drink can be brought into the pool area. Groups wanting to have a picnic lunch are welcome to utilize our grass lawn outside of the building for this purpose.
- All pool rules apply. A full list of pool rules can be provided upon request.
Arrivals
- Groups can begin checking in with our front desk 15 minutes prior to their scheduled time.
- Buses may drop off campers at the front doors before parking.
- Buses and oversized vehicles must park in the auxiliary lot on Alexander Cir.
- Upon arrival please send group liaison to the front desk of the facility to begin the check-in process.
- An Aquatic Center staff member will confirm and direct the group to their designated meeting place.
- Aquatic Center staff will then give the group a brief orientation to the rules and pool amenities.
- Immediately following the orientation, the Aquatic Center staff will conduct swim tests for any participants who do not want to wear a life jacket at the facility.
Swim Test
- The swimmer will jump into the pool at the end of the lap lane and will complete a 20-yard swim (water depth of 4ft. 6 in.)
- Red Wristbands will be issued to non-swimmers that must wear a U.S. Coast Guard approved life jacket while in the pool area. Participants that decline to take the swim test will receive a red wristband.
- Yellow Wristbands will be issued to participants that can comfortably walk the length of the swim test with their head above water or swimmers that are under 48 inches tall.
- Green Wristbands will be given to swimmers that are able to swim the full length of the swim test without assistance or touching the walls/sides.
- They must also be at least 48 inches tall to receive a green wristband.
