    1. Police Officer Lateral Transfer Registration Form

    2. The definition of a lateral police officer is governed by state statute and village ordinance. The definition is:

      Village of Romeoville Ordinance 21-1698 as provided for within 65 ILCS 5/10 - 2.1 – 14 of the Illinois Compiled Statutes states a “Lateral Transfer Applicant” is an applicant [who has] successfully completed their law enforcement training and have been so certified by the Illinois Law Enforcement training and Standards Board and who, at the time of application, been employed as a full-time sworn law enforcement officer, for a minimum of 24 months, of a regular police department in any municipal, county, university, or state law enforcement agency.
