Admission & Entry

  • All guests entering must pay daily admission
  • Children up to 12 months will be admitted for free.
  • Children (12 & under) must be accompanied by an adult (18+)
  • Last daily admission is sold 30 minutes before closing.

Weekend Morning Reminder

If arriving before the front desk opens on weekends, cash is requiredfor admission. Card payments are not accepted during this time.

Guests leaving and returning the same day will receive a wristband for re-entry.


What to Bring

  • Towel(not provided or sold on-site) so please remember to bring one from home!
  • Swim pantssee rule below.  We also sell swim pants for $10 if needed. 
  • Gogglesyou may bring your own, or we sell goggles for $10 if needed. 
  • Any personal swim gear
  • The Illinois Department of Public Health requires swimmers who are not toilet-trained to wear tight-fitting rubber or plastic pants. Disposable swim diapers do not meet health department requirements. (IDPH Sect. 820.360-j)
  • All swimmers age 2 and under (or regularly diapered) must wear a facility approved swim pant
  • Swim pants must be plastic lined with elastic around the legs/waist.  Disposable swim diaper are not approved
  • Swim pants are available for purchase at the Aquatic Center for $10
  • We offer US Coast Guard-approved life jackets free of charge on a first-come, first-served basis. 
  • Available sizes include: Under 25 lbs, 25–50 lbs, 50–90 lbs, and 90+ lbs to accommodate a wide range of swimmers. 
  • For safety reasons, only US Coast Guard-approved flotation devices are permitted in the facility—inflatable rafts, water wings, and infant rafts are not allowed.

Food: 

The Romeoville Aquatic Center does not have concessions, but does have a public room where guests can enjoy snacks and drinks purchased from our vending machine or brought from home. We ask that guests respect that this is a public area and do not leave their belongings in the vending room. Please keep all food and beverages (except bottled water) off of the pool deck to ensure facility cleanliness for our guests.

For safety and operational reasons, glass items are strictly prohibited from the pool deck.


Accessibility Features

Facility Features

  • 2 private restroom/shower rooms with movable shower chairs
  • ADA lockers with transfer benches (men’s & women’s locker rooms)

Water Wheelchair

  • The Romeoville Aquatic Center provides a water wheelchair to assist guests with accessible pool entry and exit, primarily via the ramp or zero-depth entry. For safety reasons, the water wheelchair is not equipped with a seatbelt to reduce the risk of entrapment in the water. Guests using the chair are encouraged to wear a US Coast Guard–approved lifejacket if they choose. The chair should only be submerged to a shallow depth and no farther than the beginning of the handrail on the ramp between the zero edge and courts sections of the pool.

Pool Lift Chair

  • The Romeoville Aquatic Center is equipped with an ADA Pool Chair Lift to provide accessible entry and exit for guests. The lift is stored on the pool

    deck near the lap lanes and may only be used in the shallow lap lane to align with the stainless steel plate installed on the east end of the lap lanes.

  • The lift chair includes a seat belt, which provides minimal support and may not be suitable for individuals without adequate trunk control. Guests may wear a US Coast Guard–approved lifejacket while using the lift if desired


Romeoville Aquatic Center Rules:

  • Swimmers who are not toilet-trained shall wear tight-fitting rubber or plastic pants. Disposable swim diapers do not meet health department requirements. (IDPH Sect. 820.360-j)
  • Children aged 12 and under must be accompanied at all times by an adult 18 years or older.
  • Admission to the pool shall be refused to all persons having any contagious disease; any infectious conditions such as colds, fever, ringworm, foot infections skin lesions, carbuncles, boils, diarrhea, vomiting, inflamed eyes, ear discharges; or any other condition that has the appearance of being infectious. Persons with excessive sunburn, abrasions that have not healed, corn plasters bunion pads, adhesive tape, rubber bandages, or other bandages of any kind also shall be refused admittance. (IDPH Sect. 820.360-a)
  • A person under the influence of alcohol or exhibiting erratic behavior shall not be permitted in the Aquatic Center. (IDPH Sect. 820.360-a)
  • Anyone entering the water must be wearing a family-friendly swimsuit that has a lining.
  • Cut-offs, street clothes, unlined basketball-type shorts, and undergarments are not permitted in the pool. Plain T-shirts and rash guards are allowed over the top of a swimsuit. All apparel worn in the pool shall be clean. (IDPH Sect. 820.360-p)
  • Littering is prohibited. In addition, no food, drink, gum, or tobacco is allowed in other than specially designated and controlled sections of the facility. (IDPH Sect. 820.360-c)
  • All persons are encouraged to take a shower before entering the pool area. (IDPH Sect. 820.360-n)
  • Personal conduct within the pool facility must be such that the safety of self and others is not jeopardized. No running, boisterous, or rough play is permitted. (IDPH Sect. 820.360-e)
  • Only clean footwear, baby strollers, or wheelchairs are allowed in the pool area or locker rooms. (IDPH Sect. 820.360-o)
  • Spitting, spouting of water, blowing the nose or otherwise introducing contaminants into the pool is not permitted. (IDPH Sect. 820.360-g)
  •  Glass, soap, or other material that might create hazardous conditions or interfere with the efficient operation of the swimming pool shall not be permitted in the swimming pool or on the pool deck. Glass is strictly prohibited in all areas of the facility (IDPH Sect. 820.360-c & 820.360-h)
  • Diving in water less than 5 feet deep is not permitted. Diving is not permitted anywhere in the Aquatic Center. (IDPH Sect. 820.330-k)
  • Lifeguards are responsible for enforcing safety rules and responding to emergencies. Parents or guardians should supervise their children. (IDPH Sect. 820.360-i)
  • No one should swim alone. (IDPH Sect. 820.360-d)
  • The pool management has the authority to implement and enforce rules that are more stringent or that supplement those listed here. IDPH Sect. 820.360)
  • Bags are subject to inspection.
  • The Romeoville Aquatic Center is a smoke-free facility. Smoking is only permitted outside of the facility in designated smoking areas. This includes electronic cigarettes, vape pens, etc.
  • All flotation devices must be U.S. Coast Guard-approved. Children wearing life jackets must be within arm’s reach of a parent or guardian over the age of 18 at all times. No inflatable devices may be used in the pool (water wings, infant rafts, inner tubes, etc.)

Violation of any facility rules can result in ejection from the facility with no refund or rain check or membership loss. Cash refunds will not be issued under any circumstances

  • All riders must be at least 48” tall           
  • Maximum rider weight is 300 pounds
  • WARNING: Water depth is 3 feet 6 inches
  • Non-swimmers are not permitted
  • All riders must ride feet first while lying on their back with arms crossed across their chest. Do not go down the slide head first. Do not sit up while riding the slide
  • Riders must enter the slide in a sitting position and wait for instructions from the lifeguard stationed at the slide starter tub
  • Do not propel yourself into the ride
  • Only one rider at a time. Absolutely no trains or chains of riders are permitted
  • No running, standing, kneeling, rotating, tumbling or stopping in the flume. Arms and hands must remain inside the flume at all times. Riders should remain in proper riding position until forward movement is terminated. At no time should the rider attempt to stand up while on the slide or prior to coming to a complete stop in the splash-out area
  • No tubes, mats, or life jackets are permitted on the waterslide
  • Riders should use the designated riding position as shown in the photo: Enter feet first.  Lay down.  Cross arms.  Cross Legs.  Enjoy the ride!
  • Play unit waterslide(s) are intended for children, adults may use waterslide(s) while supervising children
  • Dual racer water slide(s): Maximum combined rider weight 300 lbs
  • Flume water slide(s): Maximum rider weight 300 lbs
  • WARNING: Water depth may be shallow
  • Children must be supervised by an adult
  • Follow the instructions of lifeguards at all times
  • Landing area and waterslide(s) must be clear before entering the waterslide.
  • Only one rider per waterslide(s) lane at a time. Absolutely no trains or chains of riders are permitted.
  • All riders must slide feet first with arms crossed across their chest. Do not go down the waterslide(s) head first or do not propel yourself into the ride. Leave the waterslide(s) exit promptly after entering
  • No running
  • No standing, kneeling, rotating, tumbling or stopping in/on waterslide(s)
  • No tubes, mats, water wings, life jackets, or other floatation devices are permitted on the play unit or waterslide(s)
  • No foreign objects are allowed in pockets; such as sunglasses, and no jewelry can be worn while riding the slide. Approved swimwear only. No cut off jeans or swim wear with exposed zippers, buckles, rivets or metal ornamentation
  • No diving or jumping from the waterslide(s) or play unit
  • Rider assumes all risk of injury due to misuse of the play unit or waterslide(s)
  •  WARNING: "Failure to follow rules can result in serious injury"
  • Splash pad is unsupervised, use at your own risk
  • Proper swim attire is required
  • Swim diapers and tight-fitting pants are required for all children who are not toilet trained.
  • Diapers may not be changed in the splash pad area. Restrooms are equipped with changing tables.
  • No running or disorderly behavior
  • Please walk barefoot in the splash pad area
  • Splash pad water is not suitable for drinking. Please use the drinking fountain.
  • No soaps, conditioners, body washes or bathing is permitted in the splash pad area.
  • No pets, glass, food, smoking, skates, skateboards, or bicycles allowed.
  • Persons with contagious diseases or conditions shall not use the splash pad.
  • In the event of threatening weather or notification from Thor Guard Lightning Detection System of incoming storms leave the splash pad and go to a safe area.
  • Patrons refusing to obey posted rules are subject to removal from the premises.
  • The Village reserves the right to close the splash pad at any time.
  • Bather Load: 200 patrons

 Weather Related/Unexpected Splash Pad Closings

  •  In the event of inclement weather, the splash pad may be closed. This includes low temperatures, lightning, thunder, or other hazardous conditions.
