The Village of Romeoville Youth Public Safety Camp is a free, hands-on program for youth ages 10–13 combining experiences of both the Romeoville Fire and Police Departments held July 6-10, 2026 from 9:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.
Campers will get a behind-the-scenes look at careers in public safety while participating in interactive activities led by firefighters, paramedics, police officers, SWAT personnel, and K9 handlers.
Participants will experience firefighting and rescue activities, CPR and basic first aid, police drone operations, obstacle courses, mock SWAT scenarios, emergency vehicle exercises, water activities, and other team-based public safety challenges designed to build confidence, teamwork, and leadership skills in a fun and safe environment.
