Transportation Center Improvements As part of a land purchase agreement and to provide additional property for the Recreation Department, the Village purchased the old transportation facility located on 135th Street. The agreement provided funding for the relocation and construction of the new site on Forestwood Drive. This partnership provided the School District the increased space they needed as well as improved the aesthetics along the 135th St. corridor. TIF Funds assisted with the purchase and construction for the new Transportation Center and maintenance facility.
RC Hill Elementary Improvements The Village of Romeoville has voluntarily shared and distributed early TIF payments to the Valley View School District to assist with capital improvements. The improvements added additional parking and bus lane drop-off for students at RC Hill Elementary, and assisted with the purchase/construction of the new transportation center. Each of these improvements provided an enhanced safety aspect as well as improved functionality. The Village has been both easy to work and generous in working to see these projects through to completion.
