Sensory Swim is designed specifically for individuals with special needs, offering a calm and quiet pool environment. During these sessions, there is no loud music or overwhelming noise, providing a soothing space for relaxation and fun.

Get ready for a glowing good time the whole family will love! When the lights go down, the Romeoville Aquatic Center lights up with music, glowing fun, and splash-tastic excitement for all ages.

The space once occupied by the Ovation Center, located on the northeast corner of Weber Road and Airport Road, has been sold. It is being marketed for commercial/retail use, which will fit in seamlessly with the businesses in the otherwise full shopping center, including new arrivals Five Below, Hibbett, Ross, and Rack Room Shoes alongside long-time tenants Petco, T.J. Maxx, and Sally Beauty. Romeoville currently has a very low retail vacancy rate; therefore, we expect the space should be snapped up quickly once it hits the market. 

While the space has transitioned, there are plenty of senior activities and resources available to Romeoville residents. The Romeoville Recreation Department offers trips, restaurant outings, time to walk their gymnasiums and play pickleball, as well as the Golden Age Club to cultivate friendships and activities among the age 55+ community. In addition, the Village recently established a Senior Advisory Council, which consists of senior residents who will generate ideas and advocate for issues that affect the senior population. Additionally, Lockport Township has worked with the Romeoville Police and Fire Departments, along with other senior providers, to host a monthly Triad meeting at the Arts Center at Highpoint.  The Triad program provides opportunities for seniors to discuss a variety of topics such as healthcare, insurance, in home care and safety with law enforcement. 

Also, it has just been announced that the popular line dancing program that was held at Ovation will now be held at the Institute for Community at Highpoint. 

While Senior Services of Will County will no longer be located at 349 S. Weber Road, they are still providing resources. They can be reached at willcountyseniors.org or 815-240-3050.

Triple Play: Catapult a Pumpkin, Shred Confidential Documents & Recycle ElectronicsSaturday, November 7, 20269:00 a.m. - NoonLewis University, 1 University Pkwy. - Parking Lot South of the main entranceEveryone is invited to bring their pumpkins and gourds to Lewis University's "W" parking lot on Saturday, November 7, 2026 (the Saturday after Halloween) from 9 AM to 12 noon. Pumpkins can be dropped off in our container, which will be taken for composting after the event and turned into a nutrient-rich soil supplement. Painted pumpkins are welcome, but please remove any candles, bags, or boxes from your pumpkins before dropping off for composting. Residents can also bring confidential documents for onsite shredding (limit 3 bank boxes per vehicle) and electronics for recycling (limit 3 TVs per vehicle). No appointment is required.

• Electronics recycling is also offered. Limit 2 TVs per vehicle.
• Everyone is invited to bring their carved or painted pumpkins to Lewis University's "W" parking lot on Saturday, Nov. 2 (the Saturday after Halloween) from 9am to Noon!
• Naked Pumpkins Only! No candles, bags or boxes!
• This is a chance for a decorative natural item to be recycled, as all the pumpkins collected will be taken to a site to be mixed and composted. Eventually they will become a highly nutritious soil supplement, feeding future crops, gardens - or perhaps a new pumpkin patch!  Be part of the fun and bring your family or friends to see who's pumpkin flies the highest!

Join us at the Romeoville Athletic & Event Center for bingo games, fun and prizes! Hosted by the American Legion Post 52 and the Village of Romeoville.

The Romeoville Police Department offers a vacation check service for Village residents. When a resident goes away on vacation, a police officer can check their home up to three times per day to make sure it remains secure. A request form must be completed, signed and returned to the Police Department prior to departure. You may pick up the request form at the Police Department, 1050 W. Romeo Rd. OR click here to complete and submit request form online.

All motorized vehicles and bikes are treated as vehicles under Illinois Vehicle Code and Village codes. This includes stopping at traffic signs and yielding the right of way.

The Village of Romeoville is committed to education and encourages responsible electric bike and scooter use to protect all road users. Please review the e-bikes rules of the road for safety.

We’re seeking art for the front of our 2026 Romeoville Holiday Card. Submit your original artwork by Friday, October 30th for a chance that it will be selected!

•  Must be a Romeoville resident under the age of 17.

•  Art size 4.25” x 5.5” (half of a standard sheet of paper.) 

•  Submit your art by emailing it to marketing@romeoville.org or dropping it off in person at Village Hall, 1050 W. Romeo Road, attention: Marketing. Please include the name, age, and address of the artist.

•   Deadline to submit is Friday, October 30th.

Veterans who are Romeoville residents and a guest are invited to join us for a complimentary breakfast at Mistwood Golf Club, 1700 W. Renwick Rd. from 8:00-10:00 a.m. on November 11, 2026.

The Village of Romeoville is continuing its tradition of producing a video tribute honoring living Romeoville veterans who served in the Armed Forces.

To be included in the video, complete the registration form HERE with the veteran’s name, branch of service, years served, and a photo. If you submitted information previously, the veteran will be included again this year. There is no need to resubmit.

Please complete and submit the form by Thursday, November 5, 2026.

Since 2019, the Romeoville Veteran & Service Member Banner Program has recognized the accomplishments of the men and women of the six branches of the armed forces. 

Orders are now being accepted for the 2027 Veteran & Service Member Banner Program. The program is a way to remember, honor, or thank a veteran in your life with a 24” x 62” double-sided vinyl banner that will be displayed on the light poles in the community. 

Two locations are now available: 

•  Village Hall grounds - banners will hang from May-Nov. for $50 and $25 for renewal banners.

•  Montrose Dr. - banners will hang from May-April for $100 and $50 for renewal banners.

First time applicants will get precedence in the program. Part of the proceeds of this program will go towards the Veterans Commission scholarship fund as well as paying for veterans’ assistance programs. To qualify for the program, the veteran must be a current resident of Romeoville or, if deceased, had previously lived in Romeoville.
