Joe was appointed as trustee 1994-1996 and has served on the Planning and Zoning Board.
He umpired in the Little League and Pony Baseball programs from 1990-1996, has been coaching youth Sports in Romeoville from 1996, currently coaches Little Ball ages 6-7, Community Basketball grades K-1 and Youth football ages 12-14. Joe is an active member in the Knights of Columbus Council of St. Andrews, Hampton Park S.A.C. and Romeoville Lions Club. He has an Associates Degree of Applied Science. Trustee Jose (Joe) Chavez has been a resident of Romeoville for over 45 years.
He is happily married and has 4 children.
