The Romeoville Police Department maintains a database called “Resident Medical Program.” This free service, maintained by the Romeoville 911 dispatch center, attempts to identify and register individuals with special needs stemming from life-threatening medical conditions, significant physical or cognitive impairments or extra-ordinary medical requirements. In an emergency situation, 911 operators rely on this database information to notify responding personnel of any special circumstances which may exist. Participation in the program is strictly voluntary.
