Economic Development Commission

About the Commission
The Economic Development Commission, referred to as the Commission or EDC, is charged with the responsibility to advise and assist the village with creating a long-term economic development strategy, designed to spur economic growth, enhance opportunities for Romeoville businesses and industries, encourage new job creation and investment, that is consistent with the preservation of the village’s quality of life and environment.

The mission of this Commission is to advise and recommend to the Mayor and Board of Trustees initiatives that continually improve the quality of life within the village by creating, promoting and supporting a business, educational and recreational environment that is diversified, vibrant and caring.
