Downtown Redevelopment Commission

About the Committee
The Downtown Redevelopment Commission shall provide advice and comment to the Village Board on matters pertinent to the creation, growth and development of the downtown district within the Village of Romeoville. They shall provide ideas to enhance the area and to bring users to this part of the community. They will also provide input on ways to improve the Route 53 Corridor.

In order to guide the downtown redevelopment effort, a commission representing various stakeholders in the Village of Romeoville was formed. The Commission provides a sustained state of involvement, partnership, and hence, redevelopment. Through its cooperative effort, a variety of resources are being pooled in order to compile the necessary support for the physical and programmatic improvements needed to redevelop the downtown area.
