About the Commission
The main function of the Ethics Commission is to investigate, conduct hearing and deliberations, issue recommendations for disciplinary actions, impose fines in accordance with the ethics ordinance and refer violations to the appropriate attorney for prosecution upon receipt of a signed and notarized written complaint.
The commission can also impose a fine on any person who intentionally violates any provision of the ethics ordinance and recommend any appropriate discipline up to and including discharge.
The Ethics Commission is a three member commission appointed by the Village President.
