Retail Development
The revitilization of this area has now attracted new retail development including Fat Ricky's Restaurant and Franconi's Grocery.
On February 1, 2016 Franconi's Grocery store and Fat Ricky's Restaurant broke ground on their future site at the southwest corner of IL Route 53 and Alexander Circle in front of Edward Hospital Athletic and Event Center in Uptown Square.
Fat Ricky's Restaurant and Franconi's Grocery with delicatessen and bakery opened in January, 2017.
