Animal Bites
All bites, scratches, or other injury to any person by any dog or cat that causes an abrasion or breaking of human skin must be reported to the Police Department.
Animal Trapping
The trapping of nuisance wildlife is currently being handled by T&C Trapping. They can be reached at 815-467-4039.
Lost or Stray Animals
Residents should immediately contact Romeoville Animal Control at 815-886-1018 or 815-886-7219 if you see a lost or stray animal. Do not attempt to capture any animals yourself.
Any pet found roaming the streets will be impounded and the owners will be charged a pickup fee of $45 and an additional boarding fee of $10 per day.
Missing Pets
You can email a picture of your missing pet along with pertinent information such as the pet’s physical characteristics (name and breed), and your name, address, and phone number to Romeoville Animal Control. We also suggest getting in touch with the Romeoville Humane Society.

Pet Licensing
All dogs and cats, 6 months or older, are required by the State of Illinois to have a rabies tag. The rabies certificate must be presented to Village Hall when applying for a dog or cat tag from the Village. The expiration date for every license is July 1st of each year. The Village charges $4 for each animal tag. Senior citizens may purchase 1 tag per household at the reduced rate of $2.
