to report a crime/other

A fundamental philosophy of the Romeoville Police Department is to reduce crime by enhancing our relationship with the citizens we serve. One way of working toward our common goal of crime reduction is to maintain easy communication access to the Police Department by our residents. All Police agencies rely on information given to them to investigate crimes. To enhance this communication effort, we are offering a method by which residents can communicate via email directly and confidentially. To contact the Police Department, please complete and submit the Contact Us form here.  This information will be submitted directly to the Police Department. If you are supplying information to assist us with an investigation, we ask that you be as specific as possible. We may contact you via email for clarification of information provided. Also, if you wish to compliment an officer/employee, or let us know where we can improve, please click the above link.

If you are filing a complaint regarding an issue that is in progress do not use this email link. Call the Police Department directly at 815-886-7219, or if it is an emergency, dial 911.

Community Oriented Policing

The Romeoville Police Department believes strongly in maintaining positive relationships with all persons of our community. We have created programs and presentations to help educate our residents in crime prevention, police work, and safety. We encourage you to explore our website to view the many programs and presentations available from our annual Youth Academy, bi-annual Citizen Police Academy and our Youth Athletics Program. If you need more information on any of our programs or presentations, or about the Department in general, please click here to send our Community Oriented Policing Division an email. This division handles the administration of all programs, the Crime Free Ordinance as well as Code Enforcement.
