Small Business Start Up Grant Program
The purpose of this program is to to support entrepreneurship and small business creation in Romeoville.
Grant Type:
- Matching Funds – Up to 50% of eligible costs (Maximum Amount $5,000)
- Initial inspection, permitting and license fee waivers
Eligibility:
- Must be a for-profit business entity
- Must have 5 or fewer employees and $1 million or less in annual receipts
- This program applies solely to start-ups moving into a permanent commercial space.
Eligible Uses of Funds:
- Start Up Costs
- Business planning, marketing
- Training or technical support
- Equipment, inventory and supplies
- Working capital and operating expenses
Submittal Requirements:
- Proof of business ownership
- Copy of lease
- Business plan
- Company product/services narrative
- Payment receipts
